What are your opening hours?

We open Monday – Saturday from 9am – 5:30pm. We do not open on Sundays or Bank holidays. Please check Google maps for other general holiday arrangements throughout the year.

Where are you located?

Our friendly store is located just a 1 minute walk from Eyre Square on Eyre Street. Our shop front is bright blue and you will find us on your left-hand side as you walk towards Woodquay. Our retail store houses our haberdashery shop to the front and our alterations studio towards the back to ensure privacy for our alteration Customers.

Do I need to make an appointment?

For all general alterations you are welcome to pop into our store at a time that suits you.

For all bridal bookings please contact us in advance so we can arrange a suitable appointment time on our bridal booking system.

Can you accommodate wheelchair and buggy users for alteration fittings.

Yes, are delighted to say our store is wheelchair and buggy friendly. We have 2 large dressing rooms large enough to accommodate any user and their Seamstress in private.

Do my clothes need to be washed before I leave them in for alterations?

Yes, only garments that are clean on drop off will be accepted for alterations. If you would like us to arrange dry cleaning first we can do this. Don`t forget to check your pockets for coins etc

Do you offer a Laundry or Dry-Cleaning service?

Yes, we offer a drop off/collection service in conjunction with a local Laundrette.

Do you offer an Express Alteration service?

Yes, where possible we are happy to offer an express service and will always do our best to accommodate every customer. Please contact us as early as possible on the day, to allow us time to fit in your garment.

How will I know when my alterations are ready for collection?

Our system automatically sends a text to let customers know when their alterations are completed and ready for collection.

As our space is limited, all alterations must be collected within 3 months of its finished date Any garments not collected within this time will be donated to a local charity shop.

What are your prices?

We offer set prices for basic Alterations like shortening of trousers, zips etc. However, a lot of alterations are bespoke and priced on an individual basis depending on the work that is required to have your garment fitting you correctly. Your Seamstress will give you a quotation following fitting.

What if I am not happy with my alteration?

Our aim to ensure all our customers are 100% happy with their alteration and it is very rare we have returns. However, if something does not fit right, please bring this to our attention within one week of collecting your garment. We will always work with you to put things right.

Do you guarantee your Alterations?

Yes, we guarantee the specific alterations that we carried out for a period of one month, anything after this will be regarded as general wear and tear. If additional works are requested on a garment that is collected this will be booked in as a new alteration.

What is your return policy on retail stock items?

As a lot of our product carry a dye code, we are happy to accept returns within 2 weeks of purchase on production of your original receipt. Only product that is unopened and in its original packaging will be accepted for return.

Do you cater for Bride, Groom and their Weddings?

It is important that every Bride and their Bridal Party build a relationship with whoever is looking after their garments for their big day and especially important that expert alterations can be carried out.

We pride ourselves on being Galway’s leading Bridal Alterations specialists and have catered for many weddings and functions over the years. We can offer appointments to suit all members of the wedding party so that there is no fear of bumping into each other and privacy is assured. Please contact us in advance to make an appointment to suit noting the wedding party you are part of.

Do you cater for Corporate Clients?

Yes, we have completed numerous corporate contracts as well as ongoing contracts with local boutiques, colleges etc. We are always open to unusual requests to help adapt products or make protypes for the industrial market, please contact us to discuss your needs.
